Panera Bread has been doing a 360 degree makeover lately and today they came out and said that they will be dropping over 150 artificial ingredients for its food. These ingredients include artificial sweeteners, preservatives, and artificial flavors. Panera is hoping to get rid of them all by the end of 2016.
“We’re trying to draw a line in the sand in the industry so that consumers have an easy way to know what’s in the food they buy,” CEO Ron Shaich told The New York Times.
Panera reportedly came up with a “no-no list” based off of research from places, such as, John Hopkins.
Tomorrow Panera will start pushing its new menu, introducing new salad dressings with “clean” products.
