Fall is here officially and the weather is crisp and colder which means we need a nice latte to get our morning started. Everyone loves the fall favorite, a pumpkin spiced latter, that naturally comes from Starbucks. But with going to Starbucks also means the pricey drinks and long lines that go along with your favorite drink.
With today’s Thirsty Thursday we are going to show you how to make your own pumpkin spiced latter but with a twist, you will be using a crock pot! Crock pots are great for a lot of things, making big batches of meals, cooking awesome dinners while you’re at work, it is literally the Holy Grail when it comes to kitchen appliances. So grab your crock pot and lets make this fall favorite.
- 6 cups of milk (whatever you like works)
- 4-6 cups of brewed coffee (also whichever way you like it)
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 3 cinnamon sticks
In the crock pot combine the milk and coffee. In a separate bowl, mix together the pumpkin, vanilla, and cinnamon. Pour the mixture into the crock pot. Mix all the ingredients together. Add the cinnamon sticks and cover the crock pot and cook on high for 2 hours. After 2 hours have passed, stir your latte before grabbing a ladle and pouring it into your glasses. Top your pumpkin spiced latte off with whipped cream, cinnamon, a dash of pumpkin pie spice, and a cinnamon stick and you’re done!
