Margarita Recipes That Won’t Break Your Diet

Usually we post awesome drink recipes on Thursday but since today is National Margarita Day we decided to bend the rules a little. Margaritas are a great drink to have at about any time, they cool you down when it is hot out but are also good to share with a group of friends during the winter, you really can’t go wrong. But included in these margaritas are loads of excess sugars and calories that one might not want to pack on right before the summer.

So to celebrate this fantastic Monday we are going to give you a recipe for a healthier, lower calorie margarita that you can enough without breaking your diet.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ounce silver or premium tequila
  • 1/2 ounce Cointreau
  • 1.5 ounces fresh squeezed lime juice
  • ice

Directions:

Pour all ingredients into a shaker and shake well until mixed well together. Pour into a small cup or margarita glass and serve with a lime for garnish.

That’s it! Simple ingredients, simple directions, simple drink. Plus this margarita is only 130 calories per serving! That is amazing since a normal once can add up to 450 calories! Take this great recipe and get shaking on those margaritas and enjoy National Margarita Day!
