It’s fall, well some places feel like fall, here it is still mildly hot outside. But we are officially in fall and with fall comes the beloved Pumpkin Spice everything. This fall favorite can been seen in your favorite coffees, desserts, candles, just about anywhere. Now though pumpkin spice may be getting a run for its money with a new fall favorite surging ahead into first, caramel apple spice.
Obviously everyone likes a good classic caramel apple, you know where we dip a healthy apple into loads of sugar and then eat it, that caramel apple. This favorite now is making news for desserts like caramel apple crumble cheesecake and even popping up on Starbucks’ drink menu as a caramel apple spice cider, a new twist on the classic drink.
Apple spice is made up of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and allspice, which are similar ingredients that we see in the Pumpkin Spice. The only difference is the added apple to the mixture and then of course the caramel. Apple pie spice is most commonly used in apple pie but now has began to take a life of its own outside of the pie world.
Now we aren’t saying you have to make the hard decision of deciding which spice you like better, lets just agree that both these fall flavors are the best and we can switch off on which one we like to have.
