Halloween is a week away! Crazy isn’t it? To celebrate the arrival of Halloween and the end of October, everyday this week we are going to bring you a spooky, haunting recipe to help get you ready for any Halloween gathering you may be attending. Throw your costume on and lets get started.

You probably think that editable blood is gross and creepy, that is exactly why we need it. No Halloween party is complete without fake blood. Fake blood is basically a Halloween essential, so today we are going to show you how to make blood editable so it can go on any dessert or snack that is at your Halloween party. This recipe is pretty easy as well, so you won’t be running around before a party trying to get prepared. After displaying this blood at your party your friends will be begging you for your culinary secrets.

  • Corn syrup
  • 4 parts red food coloring
  • 1 part blue food coloring
  • Cornstarch

In a small bowl add in your corn syrup. The amount of corn syrup you add is completely up to you, it honestly depends on how much editable blood you need. Begin adding the food coloring slowly while mixing until you get the desired blood color you want. Add the cornstarch a little bit at a time until you get the thickness of blood you want. Once your editable blood reaches your desired thickness you’re finished. Begin adding this editable blood to any dessert to give it that extra creepy touch.
