The days are getting shorter and the weather is getting chiller, so lets try a fall drink that will make us warm and cozy. This gingerbread latte is perfect to welcome in the holiday season and simple to make, you can throw it into your crock pot and let it do all the work for you! You can also saveĀ  a lot of calories by making it yourself and not buying to from a Starbucks or Pete’s.

Grab your crock pot, some whipped cream, and invite some friends over to watch a good movie and enjoy this home made gingerbread latte. Trust me they will want to know your secret and how you made such a delicious drink! Also, imagine how amazing your house is going to smell, can it be Christmas already!

Ingredients:

  • 8 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • Pinch of cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 3 1/2 cups coffee or espresso
  • Whipped cream, graham crackers, and caramel sauce

Directions:

In your crock pot begin adding all your ingredients. Place your slow cooker on low and cook your gingerbread latte for three hours or until everything is heated, you want to make sure it doesn’t boil or you will burn your milk. Place your slow cooker on warm and cook for another two hours. Grab your mugs and dip the edge in caramel sauce then dip them in crumbled graham crackers. Pour your gingerbread latte into the mug and then top with whipped cream and any other desired topping like caramel sauce, a gingerbread cookie, or more graham crackers.

Thirsty Thursday: Harry Potter Pumpkin Juice

Potterheads rejoice because today we are going to show you how to make your very own pumpkin juice, something you might have been dying to try while reading the Harry Potter books. Now if you are fortunate enough to live in California or Florida, you can go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and pick up one of these bad boys for yourself but lets just make life easier and make it in our own kitchens.

Besides this being a fun drink to make and impressing all your friends it also screams fall, since you know, the pumpkin. Grab your wands and cauldrons and lets get started.

Ingredients:

  • 4 liters apple cider
  • 1 small can pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 2 tsp vanilla

Directions:

In a large pitcher combine all of your ingredients. Mix your ingredients well until the pumpkin puree is well incorporated. If you are having trouble here you can also mix it all in a blender. Fill you glasses with ice and fill each glass with your pumpkin juice! Don’t let the color turn you off from this fantastic drink.

Thirsty Thursday: Hocus Pocus Halloween Punch

Is it ever too early to start celebrating Halloween? It’s not, so lets talk about making this tasty Halloween treat that can be served on Halloween, or now, we can serve it now too. It is called a Hocus Pocus Halloween Punch and has a cool orange color, perfect for Halloween right?

This Halloween punch is flavorful, fizzy, and actually not too bad for you. It is kid friendly, so you can serve it at a family Halloween party or send the ingredients to school with your kids. If you want to adult it up a little more, just add some rum or vodka and have a spiked Hocus Pocus. For some extra fun, add some plastic spiders to an ice cube tray, fill with water, and add some to your punch for a creepy effect.

Ingredients: (serves 1)

  • 8oz V8 Peach Mango
  • 6oz Izze Peach
  • 1 scoop Mango Sorbet

Directions:

In a glass pour your V8 and Izze Peach. Leave a little room at the top and add a scoop of your peach sorbet. Add a straw and you are finished. Happy Fall everyone! With the seasons changing that means it is getting a little cooler outside, so lets warm ourselves up with a festive fall drink. Read on to learn how to make this yummy hot vanilla chai tea.

Vanilla chai tea is great. This drink has a mixture of great flavors and spices and when severed warm, it makes us cozy and relaxed. This drink can also be made in big batches, so if you wanted to share it with some friends, you can easily do so!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup non-dairy creamer
  • 1 cup non-dairy vanilla creamer
  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups instant tea
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon cardamon
  • 1 teaspoons ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground white pepper

Directions:

Mix all you dry spices together. In a pot, heat up the milk and non-dairy creamers. Add the dry mixture while continually stirring to help get everything well incorporated. After everything is mixed and made to the temperature you like, pour into a coffee mug and enjoy!

You can also make this great beverage into a gift by using dry milk and non-dairy creamers and storing in a mason jar. All the gift receivers would have to do is add warm water to the mixture and they have their very own vanilla chai tea!

We are back with another Thirsty Thursday, just in time for summer and the scorching weather that is currently making California feel like the sun. For this week’s Thirsty Thursday we are going to do a drink that is refreshing, light, and perfect for this heat.

Have you ever tried an ocean water at Sonic? This drink is similar but it actually contains alcohol, so like an adult ocean water. The drink will be a fun blue color and even with the alcohol it in, it is still a refreshing drink for the summer heat. Here’s how you can make it.

Ingredients:

  • Coconut Rum
  • 7-Up or Sprite
  • Blue Curacao
  • Ice
  • Cherries

Directions:

Fill a large glass or shaker with ice. Pour 2 oz of the coconut rum and 3 oz of the Blue Curacao into the glass. Add your 7-Up or Sprite, just until the glass is full but you won’t spill everywhere from shaking. Next shake you mixture up. Pour your drink over ice and add a cherry or line wedge on top for garnish and you’re finished!

This drink is super easy to make, causing it to be an even better drink for a family gathering or BBQ with friends! Let us know how you enjoyed it!

Happy Thursday everyone! The weather out here in California has taken a turn for the better and we are getting sunshine and heat like no other! Since Spring is here, might as well find a fun drink to sip while enjoying the amazing weather outside. A pineapple orange green tea is not only refreshing but it is also healthy and filled with tons of minerals and vitamins that are good for you.

This drink is simple to make, taste great, and will be a hit with the friends and family. The ingredients are easy to get and the green tea will help speed up your metabolism and leave you feeling amazing!

Ingredients:

  • 6 green tea bags
  • 10 cups water
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks
  • 1 medium orange
  • 1/2 cup honey

Directions:

In a medium saucepan, bring 6 cups of water to a boil. Remove the pan from heat and throw in your teas bags and allow those to steep for 5 minutes. In a pitcher add the pineapple, orange, and honey. If you are not a fan of super sweet tea then you can choose to leave the honey out, it is up to you. Pour your warm tea into the pitcher, over the pineapple and oranges. Stir until all the ingredients are mixed together. Add the remaining 4 cups of water and refrigerate until you are ready to serve!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone! Hopefully you have your green on keeping you safe from the numerous pitching that may occur. To help celebrate this very green holiday we decided to feature a fantastic green drink that isn’t green beer, because everyone is advertising that. Inside we are going to give you something light and sweet, perfect for spring.

Ingredients:

  • 1oz Sour Apple Pucker
  • .5 oz Vodka
  • 1 oz Lemon Juice
  • .5 oz Simple Syrup
  • 1 drop Green Food Coloring
  • Lemon Lime Soda
  • Ice
  • Green Sugar

Directions:

First let get our glasses ready for our drink. Wet the rim of the glasses and then roll them in the green sugar until the rim is fully coated. Set those aside once you’re done. In a shaker mix everything together EXCEPT the lemon lime soda. Fill your cups halfway with ice and pour your mixture into it, topping it with the lemon lime soda.

Tada you’re done! This drink is simple and fun and easy to make. If you prefer a non-alcoholic version you can totally do that too and it will taste just as great and still be creative. Enjoy!
